Statement of Faith

We, the members of the First Presbyterian Church of Newport, believe in a holy, just, merciful, gracious, loving and living God Creator, Redeemer, and Comforter, who comes to us as Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Our vision is to be a Church where individuals and families grow in spirit and in their relationship with God, a place where we learn to better serve God's total community.

Welcoming Statement

First Presbyterian Church of Newport welcomes all persons to join in worship and fellowship within a community of hospitality. We share a vision of Jesus Christ calling all to His table. "There is no longer Jew nor Greek, there is no longer slave nor free, there is no longer male nor female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28)
