22nd Annual Stormy Weather Arts Festival Nov. 6, 7 & 8 in Cannon Beach with Demos at Haystack Gallery by John Ebner, Eric Langeliers & Michael Tieman
CANNON BEACH, OREGON – Imagine a place where the mists and storms of the coast swirl around a magical 'mountain of a Haystack' rising from the sea, and from every hearth and home emerges writers, singers, composers, painters and sculptors. That is what happens each November in CannonBeach. These entire forces join together to transform your experience into a festival of creativity filled with music, theater, poetry and art. This is The Stormy Weather Arts Festival.
The Quick Draw Event starts off the weekend on Friday night where 14 artists have one hour to paint, complete, and frame a piece while the audience watches. The art is then sold by auction. Watercolorist John Ebner from Haystack Gallery will again be in the event.
On Saturday, Nov 7, John Ebner will be inside Haystack Gallery conducting a performance painting at from 11-3:30pm. Outside in our tent, metal wall sculptor Eric Langeliers will be working on some new pieces. At 1pm on Saturday Eric will unveil his newest pieces of a more contemporary abstract style. As an added feature at 1:15pm resident sculptor/painter Michael Tieman will unveil his latest two sculptures in his “Hands of the Artists” collection, “The Weaver” and “The Wine Thief”. Artists Reception is Saturday night from 4-7pm.
