Summary: Founded in 1989, serving the educational and social needs of North Lincoln County’s residents and travelers. The current location was a community fire hall built in the 1940s with exhibits and collections relating to the area’s development. Special features: large Abraham Lincoln memorabilia collection, annual exhibit area, gift shop, research library, local history lecture series and a variety of volunteer opportunities.

Summary: The Burrows House and Log Cabin, showcasing the historic moments shaping the Central Oregon Coast. Professionally designed exhibits tell of Native American traditions, birth of a prosperous logging industry, the explosion of regional tourism and the evolution of the region’s maritime industry. Actively collecting since 1948, the Oregon Coast History Center houses nearly 40,000 artifacts, encompassing the mid-1800s to the present, with two museum stores and a heritage garden. Programs include gallery tours, workshops, slide shows and walking tours of Newport’s Bayfront and Historic Nye Beach areas.
